On March 24, 2026, the press conference for the 14th China CNC Machine Tool Fair (CCMT2026) was successfully held in Shanghai. Over 80 journalists from major national TV stations, radio stations, newspapers, renowned web portals, new media platforms, and professional magazines attended the event. Key figures present included Mao Yufeng, Secretary-General of the China Machine Tool & Tool Builders' Association (CMTBA), Executive Vice Chairmen Wang Liming, Guo Changcheng, Wang Xu, and Gu Chunting, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai Branch (Shanghai CCPIT), along with representatives from partner organizations. The conference was moderated by Wang Xu.

Sponsored by the China Machine Tool & Tool Builders' Association (CMTBA) and co-organized by Shanghai International Exhibition (Group) Co., Ltd., the 14th China CNC Machine Tool Fair (CCMT2026) is scheduled to take place from April 21 to 25, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in Pudong, Shanghai.

Theme of CCMT2026: "Digitalization · Interconnection · Intelligent Manufacturing". The exhibition aims to showcase the cutting-edge technological evolution and profound industrial upgrading within the machine tool sector. It offers every participant an immersive experience of the powerful production capabilities of intelligent manufacturing, helping them accurately grasp future trends and directions in smart manufacturing development.

At the press conference, opening remarks were delivered by Mao Yufeng and Gu Chunting, followed by the official press release presented by Wang Liming.

CCMT2026 will occupy all 17 indoor halls (E1-E7, N1-N5, W1-W5) plus one temporary hall (ON6) at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, covering a total area of 202,000 square meters. This makes it the largest professional machine tool exhibition in Asia for the year.

More than 2,000 machine tool enterprises from 27 countries and regions will compete at CCMT2026.

In the overseas exhibition zone, trade associations and promotion agencies from 10 countries and regions, including Germany, Japan, Switzerland, the USA, South Korea, Spain, Italy, Czechia, as well as the Taiwan and Hong Kong regions of China, have organized delegations to participate. Renowned global machine tool companies will bring their latest technologies and products. Both the area and the number of exhibitors in the overseas zone account for over 30% of the total.

In the domestic exhibition zone, 12 specialized branch associations under the CMTBA have organized group participations. These branches include: Cutting Tools, Machine Tool Accessories, Non-Traditional Machining, Numerical Control Systems, Rolling Functional Components, Metal Forming Machinery, Abrasives, Superhard Materials, Digital Displacement Measurement, Machine Tool Electrical Appliances, Spindles, and Laser & Additive Manufacturing.

The exhibits cover a comprehensive range of categories: metal cutting machine tools; metal forming machine tools; non-traditional machining equipment, laser processing equipment, additive manufacturing, and special-purpose machinery; manufacturing units/systems, industrial robots, and automation equipment; casting, heat treatment, injection molding, cleaning equipment, and peripherals; functional components and accessories; numerical control systems, digital displacement measurement devices, and machine tool electrical appliances; abrasives, superhard materials and products, coated abrasives; cutting tools, work-holding fixtures, and related products; inspection and measurement equipment; industrial IoT, software, standards, and service protocols; wood and bamboo processing machine tools; as well as information consulting and engineering services.

Based on a systematic analysis of the materials submitted by CCMT2026 exhibitors, the highlights and technological development trends of this edition can be summarized in five aspects:
